Introduction
Before we discuss creation, marriage, gender, race, or the signs of the times, we must settle one question first — because everything else depends on the answer:
Can the Bible be trusted?
Not just as a good book. Not just as ancient wisdom or moral guidance. But as the absolute, infallible, eternal Word of the living God — the only reliable foundation on which a life, a family, a society, or a worldview can be built.
If the answer is yes, then it does not matter what governments declare, what scientists theorize, what celebrities promote, or what culture demands. The Word of God stands above all of it.
If the answer is no — or even maybe — then we are all just guessing, and whoever has the loudest voice or the most power gets to define reality.
This blog is built on the conviction that the answer is an unqualified yes.
The Bible Claims to Be the Word of God
This is not a claim made about the Bible from the outside. It is a claim the Bible makes about itself — repeatedly, consistently, and without apology.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
The word translated “breathed out” is the Greek theopneustos — literally, God-breathed. Scripture did not originate in the minds of men. It originated in the mind of God and was delivered through human authors by the Holy Spirit.
Peter confirms this:
“No prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” — 2 Peter 1:20-21
Forty different authors. Three different continents. Three different languages. Written over a span of approximately 1,500 years. And yet one unified, consistent, non-contradicting message from beginning to end.
That does not happen by accident. That is the fingerprint of a single divine Author.
The Bible Is Infallible
Infallible means it cannot fail. It cannot deceive. It cannot lead astray. Every word God has spoken will accomplish exactly what He intended.
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” — Isaiah 40:8
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” — Matthew 24:35
When Jesus faced Satan’s temptations in the wilderness, He did not argue, debate, or reason from personal opinion. Every response was the same: “It is written.”
Jesus — God in the flesh, the most intelligent being who ever walked the earth — treated Scripture as the final, authoritative, unbreakable word. If it was enough for Him, it is enough for us.
The world will tell you the Bible is outdated, mistranslated, written by fallible men, or irrelevant to modern life. These are not new objections. People have been trying to bury this Book for thousands of years. Emperors burned it. Philosophers mocked it. Governments banned it.
It is still here. They are not.
The Bible Is the Only Standard of Truth
We live in an age that despises absolute truth. The popular view today is that truth is personal — what is true for you may not be true for me. Everyone builds their own reality, defines their own morality, and answers to no one but themselves.
The Bible calls this foolishness.
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” — Proverbs 14:12
Human reasoning, left to itself, is unreliable. History is a long and bloody record of what happens when humanity decides it no longer needs God’s instructions. Every generation that has abandoned Scripture in favor of its own wisdom has eventually collapsed under the weight of the consequences.
God does not ask us to verify His Word against our experience. He asks us to verify our experience against His Word.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
Let All Men Be Liars
The Apostle Paul did not mince words:
“Let God be true though every one were a liar.” — Romans 3:4
This is not arrogance. This is not closed-mindedness. This is the logical conclusion of believing in an all-knowing, all-truthful God. If God has spoken, then any voice that contradicts Him — no matter how educated, how credentialed, how popular, or how sincere — is wrong.
It does not matter if it is a politician, a scientist, a pastor, a university, a news anchor, or a supreme court. If their declaration conflicts with Scripture, Scripture wins.
This is not a popular position. It will invite criticism, mockery, and in some corners of the world, outright persecution. But the follower of Christ is not called to be popular. They are called to be faithful.
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.” — 2 Timothy 4:3
That time has come. And in such a time, the most radical and countercultural thing a person can do is simply open the Bible, believe what it says, and live accordingly.
Conclusion: Build on the Rock
Jesus closed the Sermon on the Mount with a story about two builders. One built his house on sand. One built on rock. When the storms came — and they always come — only one house stood.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24
The storms hitting our culture right now are severe. The winds of confusion, deception, and moral collapse are battering everything that is not anchored to something solid.
There is only one rock that will hold.
The Word of God — infallible, eternal, and true — is that rock. Every post on this blog will be built on it. Every opinion expressed here will be measured against it. And when the world says one thing and Scripture says another, the choice will always be the same.
Let God be true. And let every man who disagrees be found a liar.
Welcome to the blog. We are just getting started.
